RE: Public Records Act Request — Contracts between City of Claremont and private law firm Best Best & Krieger, LLP

Dear Ms. Desautels:

I am writing to request the following public records from the City of Claremont:

  1. Writings sufficient to show the City’s payment of compensation for all services rendered by Best Best & Krieger attorneys and personnel for each month from January 1, 2013, to the present.
  2. Writings sufficient to show the City’s payment of compensation for Specialized Legal Services, as that term is defined in the Agreement to Provide City Attorney Legal Services to the City of Claremont, executed by Tony Ramos and Sonia R. Carvalho, for each month from January 1, 2013, to the present.
  3. Writings sufficient to show the City’s payment of compensation for all services rendered by Best Best & Krieger in connection with the City’s efforts to finance or acquire Golden State Water’s Claremont water system for each month from January 1, 2013, to the present.
  4. Writings sufficient to show all amounts the City has paid in connection with the City’s efforts to finance or acquire the Golden State Water Claremont water system for each month from January 1, 2013, to the present.
  5. Writings sufficient to show the hourly rates charged by Best Best & Krieger for Specialized Legal Services as that term is defined in the Agreement to Provide City Attorney Legal Services to the City of Claremont, executed by Tony Ramos and Sonia R. Carvalho, for each month from January 1, 2013, to the present.
