Something smells real fishy with TOAV’s sewer rates (November 17, 2015)
A 58% five-year sewer rate increase was approved in 2014
- Sewer rates will almost triple from $18 in 2008 to $45 in 2018
- The Town’s sewer rates are already 38% higher than Victorville and 52% higher than Hesperia
- Sewer rates paid for the water rights used for free by the Town’s money-losing golf course
- Now the Town is raising sewer rates to build a water recycling plant for more than $20 million and that water will be used for the Town’s golf course
