AVRWC supports community-based at-risk youth program for more than 10-years (March 28, 2014)
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. — Apple Valley Rancho Water Co. is pleased to announce its continued support of the Apple Valley Police Activities League (PAL) through a $10,000 donation.
For more than a decade we have supported PAL programs including their youth center, boxing and automotive restoration programs. This is one of the many ways we give back to the community which we have the opportunity and pleasure to serve.
stated Scott Weldy, General Manager and Vice President of Ranchos Water.
Apple Valley Police Department created PAL, a nonprofit organization, to help unite community and law enforcement. PAL programs are for at-risk youth between ages 13 and 17. The programs are designed to combat negative influences youth face in today’s society particularly drugs, gangs, teenage pregnancy and more.
Much of our charitable giving and community involvement is centered on youth. Our future relies on them,
Weldy further stated.
Trisha Hill, Public Information Officer for the Apple Valley Police Department was honored to receive the contribution. Hill expressed her feelings stating, I am so proud to announce Ranchos Water’s continued support of Apple Valley PAL in 2014. They have been instrumental in allowing PAL programs to flourish and provide essential services to youth, particularly those at risk. Ranchos Water continues to be an important partner to us in the community, providing support through the dedication of their staff time, as well as much needed monetary resources.
