Orr column a good addition (February 18, 2019)
Pat Orr’s column is a good addition to the Daily Press. His “Medicare for All?” was especially insightful and informative. I would be remiss, however, if I did not point out the hypocrisy in Orr’s opinion on government control and inefficiency, as well as poor service and increased cost (which I support wholeheartedly and agree). Those very same positions apply to the Town of Apple Valley’s attempted hostile takeover of Liberty H2O by eminent domain, which he supports. Let’s be consistent.
As I have said many times “show me one government run agency that runs better and at less cost and efficiency than a similar one run by the private sector.” Just one!
