Kudos to Liberty (January 15, 2017)
A lot of companies and many individuals celebrate the holiday season by donating their time and treasury to those in need. Your article about the charitable giving by Liberty Utilities and their employees made me appreciate them and their efforts for others.
Meals for 120 families fed hundreds of our neighbors displaced by natural disasters and loss of income
who would otherwise have been hungry on Christmas day. One hundred pairs of socks and shoes for needy schoolchildren enabled them to come back to school this week with warm and dry feet and a better outlook on life. Gift cards and thousands of dollars in donations from the employees of the utility showed that their hearts are in the right place.
The Liberty employees even donated and delivered toys to children from Apple Valley to Barstow.
You know, giving to others truly embraces the reason for the sanson. It gave me great joy to read about it in the Daily Press.
