Alternative water suppliers (July 10, 2016)
On May 1st in, A gaffe riot revisited,
the writer states that you must always be suspicious of anyone who lies to win an argument. Well, I am now suspicious. On June 28th, in a letter, Alternative water suppliers,
he states that I was considering buying a storage tank and having my water trucked in. He then goes on a rant about the cost of this. I agree it would be cost prohibitive. Trouble is, I never said that.
I stated that if eminent domain failed, I would seriously consider having a well drilled on my property. I would have very little to do with Liberty and in the long run it would be cost effective. In a previous letter he said he had posted some alternatives. I asked him for the dates he posted them because in two years I have not seen them. I then posted my alternatives, which were having a storage tank installed and trucking in water. I never said I would do it.
He accused me of using common core math. I have been out of school 45 years and my kids for 20. I don’t know what that is and I don’t really care. His comparison of Liberty to other water suppliers is comparing apples to oranges. The public suppliers in the Victor Valley area are cheaper and the rate payers have more control in what will happen with their water. I would advise Daily Press readers to take that letter writer’s advice. Be suspicious of anyone who uses lies to win an argument. Who knows what other ones have been told.
