Liberty Utilities (March 6, 2016)
It appears that the lawyers and accountants at Liberty Utilities/ Algonquin are wanting to drive the citizens of Apple Valley to the point of supporting the buying of the former Apple Valley Ranchos Water Company.
Asking for retroactive profits is the absolute worst move of many they have taken. There is no excuse for this action, considering that we cannot go back in time and reduce our usage.
Those of us on retirement pensions did not receive any increases this January and this ridiculous request is just adding insult to injury. If this is the attitude of the new owners of Apple Valley Ranchos, they can expect a barrage of well-founded complaints very soon.
I think they ought to change the name to Servitude Water Company.
Maybe even Involuntary Servitude Water Company.
I no longer oppose the eminent domain action of the Town of Apple Valley Town Council.
