Attorney: TOAV to ‘vigorously defend’ against lawsuit (May 26, 2015)
The attorney for Apple Valley, John Brown, of Best Best & Krieger, said the town will defend against resident Leane Lee’s lawsuit that seeks specified records and questions the town attorney’s hiring of consultants for town business and then seeks reimbursement.
In my 40 years of experience it is not uncommon for town attorneys or outside counsels to hire experts or consultants, commission appraisers and the like, particularly in situations of anticipated or pending litigation,
Brown said Tuesday. The town intends to vigorously defend Ms. Lee’s lawsuit.
