Request for Public Records (March 20, 2017)

RE: Opposition being lead by Liberty Utilities

Town Clerk
Town of Apple Valley
14955 Dale Evans Pkwy.
Apple Valley, CA 92307

In the March 12th Daily Press, Scott Nassif’s “Valley Voices” piece starts off by stating, “Opponents to the town’s efforts to acquire our water system — led by the current owner, Liberty Utilities — have taken to social media, public records requests and letters to the editor to trash our ability to finance and manage such a move.”

Pursuant to California Government Code, I am requesting the following public records:

  • Any and all records showing that Liberty Utilities is leading or has led Alvin Rice.
  • Any and all records showing that Liberty Utilities is leading or has led Leane Lee.
  • Any and all records showing that Liberty Utilities is leading or has led Alex Varga.
  • Any and all records showing that Liberty Utilities is leading or has led Richard Rorex.
  • Any and all records showing that Liberty Utilities is leading or has led Lawrence McCarthy.
  • Any and all records showing that Liberty Utilities is leading or has led Greg Raven.

If records are available in both an electronic format and a hard-copy format, please provide only the electronic records. You can email the electronic records to me. Please provide me with the cost of providing the records.

Should you withhold responsive records, please justify the withholding of the record in writing with a demonstration as to why the record is exempt from disclosure. Please also provide the name and title of whomever was responsible for the denial.

I am looking forward to your determination within 10 days as to whether you possess disclosable public records that are responsive to this request.

Greg Raven is Co-Chair of Apple Valley Citizens for Government Accountability, and is concerned about quality of life issues.
