So much for all that support (January 7, 2015)
So much for assertions by representatives of the Town of Apple Valley that its proposal to seize Apple Valley Ranchos Water Company has widespread support among ratepayers. Given this overwhelming support, one might be excused for wondering why the Town has again gone on the offensive on Facebook to convince ratepayers to give it iron-fisted control over our water system.
The answer is that there is now a proposed ballot initiative to force a vote on this issue (Say in water war sought,
Daily Press, December 22, 2015).
Considering the Town council has already voted to proceed in this matter, there is absolutely no justification for this new blitz if the Town truly has the backing of ratepayers.
